Staying at the YSS does not give entry or any right of use on the SRT Wall. If you wish to use the SRT Wall this is a separate booking system available via the SRT Wall menu selection above.
Terms and Conditions of booking
Bookings will not be confirmed until a booking form has been completed and returned with terms and conditions and a 50% deposit paid. Please make payment either by transfer or cheque payable to “YSS” (Details will have been sent in a separate email to you upon completion of this form).
The deposit is refundable if written notice of cancellation is received 14 days prior to the arrival date. Failure to do so will render the full cost of the booking payable.
3. Full payment is normally made for the actual numbers staying. Please confirm numbers 7 days before your visit. Where the number actually staying is significantly fewer than the number initially booked, the club reserves the right to charge up to the full cost of the booking.
Extra guests will be accepted if there is room. Please contact the bookings secretary if you wish to increase numbers as priority is always given to those who have previously booked.
Day guests will only be accepted where space allows and at the discretion of the Bookings Secretary. Priority for use of any of the hut’s facilities will be given to overnight guests and members.
Note: The hut facilities are not for use by people camping in the field opposite. This campsite is not connected with the YSS. All guests must sign in upon arrival. This includes day guests. This is required for fire safety.
Guests are required to show respect for other groups; this includes sharing the facilities, ensuring the hut is reasonably tidy and keeping noise at an appropriate level between 11pm and 7am. The hut is to be left in a condition appropriate for subsequent guests. Our hut is run by volunteers and we expect guests to help out by doing some cleaning at the end of their visit. Any damages must be paid for and a cleaning levy will be charged if the hut is left in an unacceptable state.
