As part of a weekend of Mr B's birthday celebrations at Bull Pot Farm, some of the stragglers went caving on the Sunday morning. A team of 6 went into Lancaster hole and all went along the High level route from Fall Pot barring Dinny who followed the streamway  and met us at Stake Pot. A bit further along near to Bob's Boss is a pretty tall aven known as the Arson shaft. I've been most of the way up previously on one of Nigels mystery tours, now it is Resin P anchored and rigged. Swinging into the shaft through the window in the wall it drops down below you into a blind pot. Above a series of rebelays and a slot to squeeze through take you to the top of this impressively fluted shaft of 40m height......
to be continued.

We split into 2 teams to exit from Stake Pot.
Mark M, Patrick W, Stu W. left via main Streamway and Wilf Taylors passage & up Lancaster hole.
Becka, Dinny and Lisa W exited c/o Mistral.
about 4 hours caving was had.

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
