Had a really good explore of Hagg Gill Pot whilst staying in the area for a weekend of belated 40th birthday celebration.
Its a lovely cave and one with very delicate helictites to avoid, thus having to crawl in the water beneath them in many places, lots of fossils and corals too to be seen and the cave certainly changes character in its different directions.
Left the shaft rigged for a second team of 3 to pop in after us (Red Rose & York).

Those along Lynne Katz, StuW (YSS) and Paul (GSG).
Trip time a steady 4 hours.

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
