Bean and Tony Seddon, After reaching the 20ft pitch in swildons me and Tony parted company as he was free diving sumps one, two and three and I was going via blue pencil (as i like breathing). We met at sump four and tony proceeded through and i followed, it was much easier than i had imagined or feared but it was good to breath the air the other side. We then proceeded to pass sump five which was low with good air space, we then set the siphon going in damp link and proceeded up to sump nine via sump six bypass. After returning and pushing the hosepipe to the bottom of the duck we siphoned some more, this was then passed and on to the next duck which siphons into the first one cutting off any retreat. This was soon passed and shatter pot was soon reached (tony had bailled the ducks before shatter the day before 'my hero') and out via mud sump. A brilliant trip.

I once did a trip to S9 on a single-set of dive gear. I would never ever ever free-dive S3! S6 was a bit long, I remember a gravel squeeze right before the exit...

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
