Bar-Flood Exchange Trip

Some very wet weather over the previous week meant we were restricted to the drier entrances to GG, so we agreed on a Bar-Flood exchange with the optional add-on of the Hensler's round trip.

I generally try hard to avoid Bar Pot because of the hoards, especially on wet Saturdays, but we were pleased to find we had the cave to ourselves. A gentle stroll to Main Chamber, a good look around and an exit via Flood Entrance, kindly rigged earlier by YSS Team A. The walk back to Clapham was made all the better by a slab of cake in Inglesport, a few of Colin's finest pints and a Rob Dalby BBQ. Excellent stuff

[Needless to say nobody took up the option of Mud Hensler's!!]

Party: Isla Bezencon, Emma Beecroft, Richard Rae, Damian Weare Time: 4 hours (ish)

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
