After we had convinced Fiona D that it would be fun, we heading over in the baking sun to Lancaster hole (almost seemed a shame to go undergound). Martin and Rob were leading the way, and before we knew it, we were at the streamway. I don't know the names of the area's in the cave at all, so it's a vague report!

The streamway was awesome! If you've never been, it's well worth a look. Compared to the chambers of slippery, muddy boulders, this part of the cave felt a world appart. But, it didn't last long and we were back in muddy boulders again. I would never have found my way through this place so thanks to Martin and Rob who did. Saw a few rooms full of straws, more than I've ever seen in one place, kinda magical if I dare say.

Party: Rob Dably, Martin Jackson, Fiona Weare, Fiona Durham, Mel Smith

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
