A reasonable turn out for a potentially wet & stormy day.
The doom monger turned up with his library & started tell tales of floods in the cave, but we pressed on regardless.
Janis needed a new undersuit as the old one was a little tight around the nether regions. This visit put us (Paul, Janis & Me) in the derigging crew, so we returned to the hut for a brew before wandering up the hill.
We got to the cave just as noises from an emerging Bob started. He took a long time to negotiate the head of the first pitch and nearly managed to put us off the cave (I couldn't remember anything that awkward). He was soon followed by Ade with Lukasz not far behind.
We decided to pass the rest of the riggers (Alex & Dave) inside the cave as it was beginning to get a little chilly outside.
We got down to the bottom of the pitches and wandered along to the sump.
Paul headed out first  and as Janis had volunteered to derig, I headed out second.
I overtook Paul at the head of Poseidon pitch and waited to haul Paul's bag just inside the entrance (the first pitch was not a problem).
Needless to say the floods did not occur and the doom monger said that it was the driest he had ever seen it.

Team: Ade, Paul, Janis, Lukasz, Bob, Alex, Dave & Dave.
Derigging time: About 2 hours.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
