We had a reasonable number of cavers on Saturday. The most adventurous headed off to Hammer Pot another team went for a gentle trip in Valley Entrance, leaving six of us for the Bull Pot trip.
Given the numbers and the ability of the people, we decided to split into two teams. One doing Bull Pot followed by Jingling Pot and the other doing the caves in the opposite order.
James, Gwyneth and I went into Jingling first. James rigged and we quickly descended to the bottom of the main cave (avoiding the dig at the very bottom).
We returned to the surface leaving the cave rigged for the other team. On the surface we found the other team waiting for us, along with a group of students from Bangor.
We headed off to Bull Pot and dropped down the other teams rigging to the bottom of the fourth pitch.
This area was damper than I had expected. It was the intended limit of the trip, so we turned round and I derigged on our way out.
The others had already left by the time we got back to the road.

Team JB: James, Gwyneth & Dave
Team BJ: James, Damian & Sophie
Time: About 4 hours.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
