After the BBQ and excitement of England footy match on Sat eve, there was little enthusiasm for the walk up Whernside in the heat for the Greensett ‘picnic’ cave on Sun morning so plan B was Short Drop and Gavel. Matt kindly offered to rig the Gavel entrance so that the rest of the team could do Short Drop as a pull through and then continue down Gavel to the squeezes and pretties of Glasfurd’s chamber. A great trip, lots of varied caving, amazing pretties and good company.
