As i had offered to rig JH for Paul and Ann's Titan, JH, Peak trip on the 12th July, decided to do it today instead of mid week, as this would give more time for a look round whilst in there. Nearly sacked it though as it was pi**ing down when we arrived at Rowter farm, but no rain no gain :)

Must say, never seen the water level so low in JH, as all the normaly flooded stopes in the Cartgate were empty. Once down to bottom of Leviathan we then went through Stemple Highway and went and had a look at Major Sump before turning round.

On the way back went and had a look up Calcite Aven and Western Highway, before making our way back to bottom of Leviathan for a steady prussik out. Must say Bitch Pitch is'nt such a Bitch with no tackle bags ;)
Trip time 5hrs15

 Thanks very much for rigging JH - Went down Friday evening and was able to put Paul's mind at rest about the connection sumping up. No problem at all with water levels at the moment.
Saturday I did the Titan through trip with Morley Caving Club while Paul took Red Rose on a Titan / White River trip. This turned out to be a long trip as he didn't realise he needed a pull through rope for Ventilator:ohmy: Sunday I went down JH again with a new TSG member. Keith hope you enjoy your de-rigging trip.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
