We abandoned out initial plans of Swinsto Pull through as a party of 6 would have ment lots of waiting around in cold wet places so we decided to go down Sunset which sounded much more pleasant! Nice walk up to the entrance.. could even be described as warm! Rob and Chris headed down first and rigged whilst Martin helped Mr and Mrs Tolson remember the art of SRT. We met up with Chris and Rob at the top of the last pitch, where chris stayed and did not move until it was time to derigg - I think if he had stayed any longer, he would have become a formation! Had a bit of wander into a flat out crawl at the bottom of the last pitch as was getting a bit cold..much warmer in small spaces :P

First trip down here for me and really enjoyed it! Lovely stream way and a really nice last pitch. All in all a really nice, fun trip. Cheers guys.

Party: Rob Dalby, Chris Tate, Martin Jackson, Mel Smith, Mel Tolson & Stuart Tolson.
Trip time: 3hrs

3 hours in sunset must be a lovely trip. Were you tempted by the rope ladder in the final chamber?

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
