Following on from Ingleborough on Christmas Day, we tackled Penyghent from our house on the 28th. No need to rush to avoid the rain today so we wandered up the Ribble Valley to near the school, took a detour round Dry Rigg quarry, and had tea and crumpets in Horton before finally starting up the hill sometime after midday. Lunch on top at 2pm then a lovely walk back along the ridge to Stainforth and home in the dark.

Now we need to do Whernside on New Years Eve or New Years Day....whichever day is best weather wise.....to complete our Festive Three Peaks!

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
