Having been in here only once before and not quite getting to the bottom that time, I took up the opportunity to assist with carrying in some dive kit and a cylinder back out for Jason and Emmsy. Jason dived in to sump 5 but returned in under an hour due to the visibility worsening. Meanwhile Emma and myself derigged the last pitch to check the rope length required to rig from some newly placed resin anchors, the pitch head looks a little unstable, so extra care needs to be taken to avoid kicking loose rock down.
The cave will be re rigged for Euro Speleo and is well worth a visit. Some bits of the traverses seem a tad exposed on the return journey with a cylinder in tow, climbing down sooner in the rift would avoid some of this but is more thrutchy - choice is yours.
Then back to the hut for copious cups of tea, as various cavers and divers popped by for chat, seemingly as one group left another arrived and it would have been rude not to have another brew, sorry about the lack of hobnobs.

Trip time - just over 3 hours

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
