My first visit to the Mendips - what a great place including the Hunters Lodge.
Went in Swildons - and followed the stream to the bottom - through sump 1 (Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr) and onto sump 2 - had a look then headed back through sump 1 (much warmer as we left the immersion heater on) then headed up up and away.
Martin helped assist a rather knackered young lady up the ladder on the twenty, went down the wrong passage on the way out - a real Alice in Wonderland moment.
Back to to the Wessex for tea and medals.
