Joined a Wessex trip into LJ's, very large group of us as there was 13 in total although we did lose one in the entrance series. Two routes were rigged, Cathedral and Centipede, we lost our second man at Battleaxe when Col decided to turn round. One of the objectives was to show some of the Wessex where the connection is to Notts 2, at some point on our way to Lyle Cavern we decided that we may as well just carry on and do the through trip. All went well although some found it harder going than others, once in Notts 2 we decided on no sight seeing and heading straight out. Once on the surface a head count revealed only 10 of us....ooops. A crew went back in and found him back at the climb up to the connection, turns out he had done the usual trick for the first time in there and missed the left turn up out the streamway.
Trip time 4hrs15
Clive Westlake, Lisa Wootton, Stu Weston, Emma Key, Colum Walsh, Nigel Berry, Bean, Wayne, Darren, Mac, Norber, Artti, Myself

Wessex are not supercavers, you need to slow down a bit :)

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
