Very pleasant trip into Peak Cavern this evening, and not far into the system either as we only had to walk past the ticket office into the Vestibule to reach our destination. We were going to have a look at the Krypton Series which starts off with a prussic up an in situ rope( at the moment), this goes up a fair distance and must be pretty close to the surface. Quite interesting and some very different formations to the rest of the cave. Once we had abseiled back down we went for a quick look at the Swine Hole Sump before heading back out.
Added bonus was got to have a play in the truck on the way home in the snow :crylaughing

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
