Volunteered along with 5 others to be a sump donkey for Jason who was going to dive the downstream sump, went in via the Grasshopper Series where we put Jason into the intermediate sump to dive all his gear through instead of taking it through the flat out low air space duck. As soon as he was on his way we all made our way through said duck to meet him and put him into the main downstream sump. While he was doing his dive several of us took bolting kit and made our way to the bottom of Elizabeth Pitch where Sam made his way up to rebolt it, this was to give the pitch a drier hang as the previously used deviation didn't do much to keep you dry when there was water about.
After that we made our way back through said duck to sort Jason out and get all the dive kit back to surface.

Trip time 4hrs45
Jason Mallinson, Myself and 5 others

That's cool, I always thought that had been blocked up for good after they did the through dive.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
