A lovely little evening trip without needing any vertical gear. Quickly booked on the CNCC booking system and we were off to Leck Fell.
A very pleasant change on a gorgeous afternoon with views out to sea, the Howgills and the Lakes. A very short walk then after climbing down and down through scaffold and concrete blocks there is some fabulous streamway to explore which is what we did, both upstream and downstream for a really good meander around. Some of the formations are stunning, had forgotten just how impressive this streamway is.
About 3 hours of caving and back in time for some pub grub at the Helly.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
