Sundays trip for one group of us was to Nettle Pot,
to the bottom of Elizabeth shaft. The rigging was shared out going down what are very fine shafts. While Phil rigged the Elizabeth pitch me and Dave went along stalactite passage stepping over the crumble pitch and crawling along a calcite floored passage  to a chamber with pretties. The others had a look at this horizontal section on the way out.
Without a rigging topo with us, we had to wing it a little and the rope lengths we had just about worked out, what we failed to take were 3 spits for rigging the very bottom little bit, it's a bit odd that there are resin anchors everywhere else.

Those along; Sam, Phil Hawkster, Dave C, Ben and Stu.W.
Trip time 3hours 50 mins.

A few photos of the trip...
The pantin was a great help on the narrows (where I lost my legloop in the tight bit). Ben need to remember to bring his next time.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
