A good turn out of YSS members saw most of us stay for 2 night at the LCCC hut in Tanigrisiau.
After a fabulous breakfast we walked up the hill and do the traditional CRTT, another group were heading around the 'new' start to the route so we went traditional.
With abseils, zip wires, bridges and boats there is a bit of everything to add to the history of the Slate mining.
Speed pulleys are the way to go.
Others have added lots of pics on Facebook - hopefully they will add a few here.
Bumped into Sam randomly as we exited the adit, who was out walking with a couple of mates (Michelle's Sam - not seen him in years)  what are the chances of that.

Those along were;
Nigel, Caiti, Keith, Yvette, James B, Dave C, Alex R, Phil Hawk & EvilStu.

3 of us had a look around another mine (Conglog Quarry?) beside the track on the way back down, near some ruinous buildings -  not sure of its name but it is an impressive detour.

A few pictures from the through trip.
The last three are from the side tour in what I think in Conglog Quarry.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
