The trip on the calendar was Simpsons. In view of the hot weather we decided that the walk up to the cave would not be pleasant, so we let Lukasz talk us into another visit to Notts2.
Having looked at the survey and studied various reports, this is the route I think we did:
Entrance (Inlet 13) up stream to where the water becomes deep, where Lukasz traversed over the water into Inlet 2 (I waded through the water and climbed up to it). There was a passage directly opposite (White Flag?). We did not continue with this as Caiti & Ros were waiting for us.
We returned to Curry Junction and went up Curry inlet to the bitter end (a couple of spades & a digging tray).
We the headed downstream and went up inlet 7 to an aven (Oliver Lloyd Aven?), Ros sat this one out.
Continuing downstream we next tried possibly Dome Aven. This was accessed via a short climb from a ledge above the stream.
Returning to the stream Lukasz & I the went up Inlet 14, we failed to find the pleasant passage mentioned and the Fun Type increased dramatically.
Ros & Caiti continued downstream to the cascades before returning to see us returning from "Horror in Clay".
We then made our way out of the cave.
Both Caiti & I thought that the other would have a camera, but neither of us did. So here are some photos from a previous trip.

Trip time 3h30m.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
