With the numbers depleted after the part, we only managed two trips on the Sunday. Rich, Phil, Claire & Stu headed over to Aquamole, while Dave, Ros, Amy, Paul, Bob & Adrian went to try to find Wizard Chasm.
I thought that the coordinates were on my phone from the time we did it last year, but they were not (probably due to changing phones), so I had to do it from memory. This was more of a success than I expected as we walked straight to the cave.
Ladders having been a success on last years trip, we again did it on ladders, though I think that if we do it again it will be using SRT.
The entrance we a bit awkward and most people abseiled the pitch and then removed their harnesses for the muddy parts of the cave.
We went fairly directly to the blue room with its amazing blue formations, passing several other stunning formations on the way. David once again failed to get into the blue room, but got close enough this time to see some of the formations.
On the way back to the entrance, Amy & Adrian went up a side pitch and found the long lost "2" bag tag!
We then went up the Sandstone Pass looking at some more excellent formations including some amazing helictites.
We then headed back up the ladder and out onto the chilly moor for the 45 minute walk back to the cars.
Trip time: About 3 hours.
