Just to highlight that we also as a club do occasionally do other activities, even go walking with no caves involved.Saturday turned out lovely, I had a damaged knee (ask Nigel!) and was not caving - deffo not 'Large Pot' anyway, Lisa and Emma were easily persuaded to go for a walk instead of being underground. So after drinking lots of tea and looking over maps we eventually motivated ourselves to set off, taking in Long Lane over to Catterick force where I went for a quick envigorating dip in the pool beneath the falls. On then to Stainforth Force, where the water levels were less than half that of the previous week when Salmon were spotted leaping, with no fish spotted this time, but I managed to do a bit of extreme litter picking and retrieved a plastic bottle which had been bugging me! The Knights Table Cafe was calling and we went for an Earl Grey tea and a 'light' lunch which nearly beat me and Emma, Lisa was more sensible and went for the warming soup. So skirting Smearset Scar with the most wonderful evening light as the sun set gloriously over Keith's passing van, we leapt in the back with another kidnap victim to save 1/2 a mile of road walking.A stunning day out with the ladies who lunch.9.57miles, 1389ft of ascent, 3hours 25min walking time and nearly as long in the cafe.....Vitamin D topped up.Lisa, Emma
