A disappointing turn out for the Fairy Holes trip last Saturday, only Ros, Lukasz & myself.
Lukasz volunteered to drive, while the cave is only 68 miles from the hut, it takes over 2 hours to get there as it is nearly all on minor roads!
We found the parking spot without any issues, changed & walked up to the cave.
We then spent about 2.5 hours mainly walking up a joint controlled stream passage with the occasional bolder choke for variety.
The calcited mud formations were really interesting, but unfortunately I had left my camera in the car.
We were making slower progress than was required to get to the end of the cave, so we decided to turn round.
The return to the entrance was much quicker, then we had the walk down the hill and the long drive back to the hut.

Team: Ros, Lukasz & Dave.
Cave time: About 4 hours.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
