Following the excesses of the President's BBQ (mainly coleslaw), the caving numbers were depleted for the Sunday trips.
The weather forecast was not good, so we canned Out Sleets Beck and went for Shuttleworth & Gavel instead.
Changing on Leck was more pleasant than normal and we were soon heading across the fell to the cave.
The plan was to drop the first three pitches and look at the fourth pitch & the formations before heading back out.
We achieved this in fairly short order and Lynn was persuaded to derig the pitches 3 & 2 on the way out, a first go at derigging for her!
Ros derigged the entrance pitch and we were soon back at the car with no real change in the weather.

Team: Lynn, Ros & Dave
Time: About 2h30.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
