As a prelude to the 60 cavers in Yordas, I decided to run a novice(ish) trip in Bull Pot.
Other groups were in Simpson's Pot, Growling Hole & Notts Pot.
I rigged the entrance pitch and headed down followed by Lynn & Julie before heading off to rig the traverse into the second pitch and the pitch down to the slot.
We had a bit of a wait for Alan at the slot as he had the second bag.
We then went down to the bottom of the fourth pitch.
Some people went to the head of the fifth pitch before we all started on our way out.
Sam & Aaron had offered to derig, so we left the ropes in place. We passed Sam & Aaron at the slot.
Everyone seemed to have a good time, some rusty skills came back and some gained in confidence.

Team: Dave, Ros, Alan, Julie, Lynn, Becky, Grace & Matty
Time: About 4 hours

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
