A good turn out for the weekend. We got seven people for the meets list trip of Vespers/Spectacle, another four went into County Pot while Paul & I took Iain into Alum Pot.
We had a quick chat and some training on the SRT wall before heading over to Alum.
A large group were heading up the hill as we changed and two small groups arrived as we set off for the cave.
We went in the Diccan entrance and took the second left to Dolly Tubs, rigging the climb above the pool as we went down.
We then went down the Dolly Tubs with Iain gaining confidence all the way.
He was impressed with the view from the window where we had a brief photo stop before heading back to the pitches.
Having ascended the pitches we made our way out via the Long Churns, including climbing up from Dr Bannister's Hand Basin.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
