We had ten for this trip, so we split into rigging & de-rigging teams.
The weather seemed at least as cold as for the walk to Ireby Fell.
Lukasz lead us straight to the cave and we installed a handling down the slippery entrance.
We were soon on our way down the streamway, mainly walking with the odd bit of stooping & crawling (more for some than others).
Having arrived at the first pitch, Robin was keen to have a go at rigging. He made a good job of the traverse line but called for reinforcements for the Y hang. I am not sure he would have found the deviations as they are both naturals and not easy to spot if you don't know where to look.
I remember a time with Stuart, who was behaving like a caver in a power shower looking for them! There was not as much water as on that occasion, but if was f-cold.
We moved onto the second pitch, which is a straight drop into a small chamber with a sump line.
Turning round, we got up the first (up) pitch before encountering the de-rigging crew at the bottom of their first (down) pitch.
After a quick photo call, we headed our separate ways.
Rigging Crew: Robin, Paul, Lukasz, Ros & Dave.
De-rigging Crew: Ade, James, Lukas, Dave & Ash.
Rigging Crew Time: About 2h15.
