After a good turnout for the work day on Saturday we still had 11 wanting to cave on the Sunday.
We split into 2 groups, one to do Swinsto, the other heading over to Simpson Pot. Both being done as pull-throughs.
There was chaos at the parking area near Valley Entrance with 4 of our cars in addition to the 6 or so from the Bradford who were having a family trip in Valley Entrance.
We walked straight to Simpson Pot, a great improvement on the navigation to the same pot a couple of years ago when it took us ages to find the right hole.
I rigged the cascades as a single pitch. We then traversed over the pit and were soon on our way down the numerous pitches to the duck.
The duck was quite chilly, but we were soon through it and heading down yet more pitches.
At Aven Pot we headed up on the in-situ line to the top of Swinsto Great Aven. This is an excellent route with a 30m free hanging pitch.
We then had a discussion about heading up to Strike series. Only Ade was really interested, so we headed out via Valley Entrance.
