Swinsto pull through, 7th June

Arrived at the school early as we were not sure what trip we were going to do today. Over a cup of coffee we decided on a pull through trip in swinsto, not having done this trip myself I didn’t need much persuading as it was on my to do list,

After a quick stop in ingleton to get some bits and bobs we were soon parked up at valley entrance and kitted up, now for the nice walk up the hill (not), it wasn’t long before we were underground and going through the long crawl, Keith rigged all the pitches and lead the way he even tried is hand a cave humour by saying the way ahead was sumped and we were trapped (you almost had me). Wasn’t long before we were down all the pitches and in the master system were we met some other cavers and sat talking for a while. Once up the pitch into valley it wasn’t long before we were back in the daylight a quick change and off to ingleton for tea and cake

Did give Paul the option of Tight and Crawling or Wet and Sporty, he obviously opted for the latter......so next time...
