After the Wednesday evening trip taking in the gear, we went back in on Sunday to do some bolting, after prussiking up on the old (scary) rigging, we first went along Cliffhanger Passage to have a look at the Sump. Then coming back to the first pitch we placed two resin anchors, these to be rigged at a later date. Then the traverse out to the big pitch and the pitch itself was rigged using through bolts, also rigged with one very airy “Y” hang. This also meant we were able to go back down on good rigging, also fetched the old rigging out as we came down, probably one more trip to tidy up and get the old gear out.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
