As Damien and his party were going in Bar Pot the rest of us opted for a Dihedral/Stream exchange. Four of us went in via Dihedral and the other Three went in via Stream, after a quick bit of route finding we were soon at our respective exits and on our way to the surface.
Trip time 5hrs
In Dihedral Paul, Cat, Mike, Keith
In Stream Chris, Stu A, Andy

Yes it was a great trip! I had previously been into Gaping Gill via Bar Pot on ladders :S and also on the CPC winch trip last year when I, Jane and Gorden had been weekend guests of Steve Kirk their journal editor ;) . Whilst spending time in the bottom of the chamber showing visitors around I had looked at the SRT rope coming down via Dihedral B) thinking that it was a route I'd like to do!

Well on Saturday I wasn't disappointed. My rat was well and truly fed and then at the BBQ my stomach was too

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
