After the two days of reccieing it was time for the through trip from Le Trou Mile to Pene Blanque, once down the short entrance pitch it was fairly easy going and after passing several obstacles and pulling through on several pitches we soon found ourselves at the start of the PDG streamway. After a food stop and donning wet suits we were off again for nearly 3hrs of fun in the best section of river passage I have ever seen, as we left the streamway and made our way into the Pene Blanque we stopped again for a food break and to change out of our wet suits. All that was left then was the long haul to make our way out of the Pene Blanque, which unfortunately was mainly uphill :(
Trip time 12hrs15

Not likely, I dont go caving for more than 4 hours at a time if I can help it and I go once a year. So it's more like 3 years.

Good choice of trip. The Mile is very lovely. Isn't the Pene Blanc the entrance which is the wrong side of a big hill though???

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
