After walking up the previous day for two reasons 1 to find the entrance and 2 to carry most of the kit and rope up which would save time, as this was to be our last day of caving. Although this trip can be done as a Pull Through, we were doing it as a rigged trip and had set ourselves a turn round time. Once down the entrance pitch it was fairly easy caving with a few up and down climbs along the way, after several shortish pitches we soon found ourselves at the Puits de Morte which is a really awesome pitch. At the start of the next pitch (75m) we were close to turn round point and would have had to start juggling ropes around, so we made the call to start and make our way out, but at least we had got down to sub 250 metres
Trip time 4hrs15
Phil Baker, Jules Barrett, Lee Langdon, Keith Mason

The time I did that walk in, I vowed never to go there again - good effort!

Well worth it though, would like to go back and either bottom it or do the through trip

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
