Really this was a Hades trip on a Hades permit, but since two-thirds of the party are also YSS members, I thought I'd post a report here for completeness.

Six of us headed down Notts following the Twilight Zone down to the sump and back. Some nice airy SRT but otherwise fairly uneventful.

Popped into Notts II on the way back to the cars for a gentle bimble up and down stream. Nice formations and the usual fun in the entrance scaffolding.

Returned to the School for pie, mash, gravy and peas washed down - by those who didn't have an appointment at home with a nappy later that evening - with a few of Booths' finest ales. Many thanks to Rich and Emma for the food and to Sam and Charlie for derigging.

Party: Sam Clifford, Mike Skegg, Emma Beecroft, Damian Weare (YSS & Hades) plus Charlie Johnson & Robin Weare (Hades)
Times: ~3.5hrs and 1.5hrs

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
