Walked across to County Pot and dropped into the entrance climb down, got to the pitch and rigged this for a pull through as we were using Rob anc co's rope for our exit from Lancaster.
Dropped down into the Broadway and made our way along Shower Bath Passage
to pick up the Manchester By-Pass. Followed this through to the High Level Route, carried on to the Minarets where we stopped to have a surprise birthday party complete with cakes, candle, wine, whiskey and jelly babies, for Lee Langdon, Talk about being drunk in charge of a tackle bag. From here we carried on to Stake Pot where we went off to find the route through to the top of the 88ft pitch also while we were there we went and had a look at Cape Kennedy and Fire Hydrant chambers before making our way back to Stake Pot. From there it was the normal trade route back to Lancaster and out.
Trip time 6hrs30
Birthday Boy, Lisa Wootton, Howard Whittaker, Stu Weston, Keith Mason

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
