Our evening trip started out with six people, but as the day went on the snow cut numbers down, so it ended up with just three of us making it. Did the round trip in reverse, which meant we had the pleasure of the crabwalk in an uphill direction :( .

Trip time 1hr25
Column Walsh, James Blake, Keith MAson

Nice trip keith. I feel even better knowing that we did the harder way. I thought I was sweating like a roasted pig because I was unfit and not been caving for ages.

I think James was a little bit shocked at the speed but did say he enjoyed it. We are going back on Monday for him to have a look at the Level 1 stuff above Garlands Pot. He is taking the Local Cave Leader assesment in a months time.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
