Quick Sunday trip on the most sunny of days.
A look at the exit on the way to the entrance, it looked most interesting. Nigel was to rig this one but had a moment on the 1st traverse, Paul took over the rigging and did an excellent job through out. After the 2nd pitch a race along the meanders and a 10 minute crawl theough pleasantly small passage to exit in sunshine. Skeggy de rigged.
Time taken approx 2 hours
Nigel, Paul, Pete, Gordon, Rob and Skeggy

Great trip, well worth doing when the water is low as the squeeze in fast high water won't be fun.

Thanks to all for rigging and de-rigging, might be worth doing an exchange sometime.

The duck in fast high water after a pull through is a real pain.

First time I met Keith Mason was setting off to Heron. Long time ago, perhaps a decade ago now, doubt you remember that Keith?

A big THANK YOU to all the riggers /de riggers! (I think that's everyone except me an' Pete?! LOL)

Good trip. Thought we were in for something different when Alex said it was an 'interesting' exit.

We had a look at the exit on the way up to the entrance. So we knew what to expect. - luckily there was hardly any water coming out at all!! - Phew!

Glad the exit only had 6\" of pooled water in it. Stream really only 4\"?
The only real tight bit(chest width) was the actual exit - which was out to daylight, so no worries even for me there!

Great day really enjoyed it... looking forward to the next one.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
