Went in via Marilyn and made our way through to the Blowhole, once through this it was down Echo Rift and the start of Southgate Duck. Reasonable airspace so it was not too bad, after lots of stooping and crawling we were soon in Clay Cavern which marks the start of Far Waters.
Once through the low crawl out of Clay Cavern the passage gets bigger and it is easier going along the wet canals, at the end of the canals we did bottle out on the third duck as it would have meant total submersion, and the water was bloody freezing. So at this point we turned round and retraced our steps back out.
Trip time 6hrs
Phil Baker, Lisa Wootton, Lee Langdon, Keith Mason

PS: If any Cave Police read this, then it was done on a Masson Permit

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
