King Pot - Sunday, 2nd May 2010

A great trip in a great cave. I hadn't been for a good few years and had forgotten quite how varied the passage is. Elizabeth Pitch is also superb.

Unfortunately Charlie had a battle with the T-shaped crawl/traverse and ended up reading about the rest of the trip in Not For the Faint Hearted.

Party: Skeggy & Damian plus Charlie (Hades)
Time: 6 hrs

We also had a member of the team stuggle at the same point when we attempted it. Our problem was we made the mistake of putting the fat lad at the front. We spent so long waiting while he struggled and burnt himself out that the rest of the team decided to go out also.

On many trips where I am the fat lad I've got to admit I prefer to go half way so you're not holding everyone up nor left on your own at the back with no idea where everyone else has gone.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
