Was going to take advantage of GG being rigged :cheer: and go in via Henslers, but found out off Russ that this was not so :( . Next thing we knew we had been volunteered into rigging it for the Bradford, so with two bags the size of london bus's we set off. Must say at one point as it was getting very narrow, we did wonder if we had gone wrong somewhere but we persevered and finaly reached the top of Henslers Great Aven :)
Once down this we then had a steady trip to the Main Chamber via New Henslers, passing Bar Pot and Flood. When we got to South Passage and Pool Chamber we opted for the off-beat route back to the Main Chamber which involves a wicked traverse to stop you wading through a neck deep pool and eventually drops you into the west end of Main Chamber.
All that was left then was a steady prussic up Dihedral, once on the surface we got invited to the beer tent for a couple of swift ones…….caving heaven :cheer: :cheer:

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
