6 of us set off from the school house up to West Kingsdale in good sunshine for the trip through Swinsto. Half came out the bottom and the others went back up to fetch out the ropes etc.

It was a pretty slick event with no dealys along the way, just steady away caving down and up again in a pretty sporty fun cave. Even the water felt warm :ohmy:

On Sunday there were two trips with each party doing two caves. The SRT trip went to Sunset Hole and Hardrawkin while the non-SRT party went to Sunset (not the final pitch) and Great Douk.

Shame about the torrential hail on the way back to the car, as it was an otherwise very successful weekend.

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
