Sorry to report the latest news on two cavers who died in the Alum Pot cave system on Thursday 27th December::The bodies of a man and a woman have been found in a cave in North Yorkshire.
A 33-year-old man from Darlington and a 28-year-old woman from West Yorkshire were found in the Alum Pot cave, in Selside, near Horton in Ribblesdale.

North Yorkshire Police and cave rescue teams searched through the night on Thursday after a woman reported her husband had failed to return home.

Their bodies were found at about 0320 GMT on Friday, a police spokesman said.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
