As the water levels were pretty well up, 4 of us opted to have a look at Trapdoor. Did take a bit of finding due to poor vis, but once found we were soon down the firrst pitch to be met by a rather unpleasent smell. Once down the second climbdown we found out what it was as I stepped onto a dead sheep :( . After the free climable Foam Pitch we were then at the first obstacle....The Gripper, Whilst Rich and Sue managed to pass this with relative ease I could'nt seem to get my chest through, even after taking off over and under suits :( also Nigel managed to get his chest through but could not get his bum through and then could'nt get his chest back out :woohoo: but we managed to talk him through it. At this point we made our exit out with an even worse smell than on the way in as Nigel accidently removed the sheeps head.
Trip time 1hr30
Sue Blackburn, Rich Rae, Nigel Steel, Keith Mason

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
