What a cracking turn out for a Saturday trip down Giant's, 13 of us in total, with no fewer than 6 YSS members. Rigged Garlands for ladder and lifeline for the novices whilst the rest of us did it as SRT, usual route down the Crabwalk (sporty due to water level) and onto the Eating House. Then made our way up to the Giant's Windpipe, which had more air space than expected :)
Once through this we carried on towards the top of the Crabwalk, were we split into two groups, with Alex and James lowering the novices back down to stream level to make their way back to Garlands and the rest of us doing the high level route. All that was left then was to get everybody back up Garlands and head back out
Trip time 4hrs
Sue, Alex, Anthony, Julie, James, Ian, Nick, Rachael, Adam, Aby, Chloe, Ant, Keith

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
