Thanks to Anthony M (Anton) for arranging this trip to a rarely visited section of cave.

It was a very interesting cave seeing the sediments exactly as they would have been 10,000 years ago being un-disturbed. Also had great fun in the normal bits of the cave climbing the rift to reach the tree routes. No one seemed to follow me up those climbs for some reason. I wonder why lol?

Oh and Anton, that is the first time I have used my stop descender without bothering to press the handle lol. Very quick rope :)

Very quick trip report too! You beat me to it by half an hour...

Any of the pictures come good?

You forgot to add the obligatory:

Trip time: Upto 4 hours

Party: Anthony, Alex, Dan, Sarah and Paul our very knowledgeable guide

Also....

If it wasnt for my expert skills in having to repair things with the wrong tools, we wouldnt have got the lock open (it only took me 3 seconds after all the time paul was trying)

And I got to rescue Dan from the great rift while you were searching for the trees

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
