This was a trip to extend a NEW bit of passage found in this cave the previous week. 30m of low muddy passage led to a cross passage blocked at both ends, but with a good draught blowing through the choke. The club drill was needed so that the rift ahead could be capped wide enough to pass into the passage beyond the choke. This choke was passed into much larger walking passage that closed down after 4m - but it may be possible engineer it wider.in the other passage it should be possible to just clear the choke.
Trip time 5hrs - Team - Alan Speight ( yss ) Lugger & Debby Limbert (ncc )

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
