As James had not been down to East Canal before, we opted for this as our mid week trip. Made our way to Garlands Pot and once down this we set off down the Crabwalk which is a lot less fun when dragging a tackle bag 
Was a bit more water about than usual, but we carried on, and once at the bottom of the Crabwalk we made our way up to the Eating House and on towards Geology Pot. Fair bit of water going down this and once at the bottom we were met with a 3ft wall of foam which we had to wade through to reach the duck
Once through the duck progress was soon halted at the last short pitch as it would have meant swimming, water must have been very high earlier on as there was a tide mark of foam about 12ft above stream level.
It was at this point we decided to turn around and make our way out, going via a very very wet Giants Windpipe.
