first time underground since my accident , feeling good after physio i managed to talk michelle into coming on her first caving trip

not wanting to over do it we set off for valley entrance, once kitted up it was off underground for the stomp through valley to the kmc. once at the pitch head i riiged the pitch for srt and ladder, a quick lesson on how to use a stop and cows tails michelle was off down the pitch followed by me. we set of for a stroll up the streamway and up towards the great aven, we turned round after the muddy bypass as i had told pete we would be out for 9pm and i wasnt sure how michelle would cope with the ladder up into valley entrance. once back at the pitch i ascended up the rope and quickly turned it into a safety line for michelle on the ladder, all i can say is all the climbing she has done over the passed 20yrs must have helped because ive never seen anyone come up a ladder as quick as she did once derigged it was a steady walk out and back into the warm night air aqnd off to the marton arms for a well deseved pint
