BULL POT KINGSDALE
A nice pleasant trip down the first 3 pitches to give Michelle a bit more srt practice, a late start of 1.30 pm as me and Pete had to wait at booths in Kirkby Lonsdale for Michelle to finish messing around at work ,
A quick stop at inglesport for me to buy myself a new rope and we were soon on kingsdale kitting up, on a lovely sunny afternoon

once up at bull pot there was already 2 ropes down the first pitch but none on the y hand so its was soon rigged by myself after faffing about trying to remember how to tie my bunny ears hahaha , at the second pitch we met a party coming out so we went back to the entrance so Michelle could go back up and then come back down ( more practice ) after the party had left we went back to the 2 pitch and the traverse and y/hang were rigged and off down we all went, ive been in here in wet weather but today not a drop of water was coming down the pitch, its hard to believe we are nearly at the end of November . next the slot Michelle made us laugh as she asked if she would fit down it, it was soon rigged and we set off down the pitch I waited at the rebelay to check that Michelle was ok on the change over, once down it was a quick rest and photos before Pete and Michelle set off out leaving me to derigg it all, once on the surface it was a nice steady walk back down to the car

trip time 2 ½ hrs
Pete, Paul & Michelle

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
